Hello Year 5,
I hope you are all well and although this is an unusual time, I hope that you are enjoying some quality time with your family.
Miss Atkins has been busy working on Maths and continuing to develop Sky Rocket Recall challenges for the whole of Rushall School over the last couple of weeks as well as preparing new tasks for you to complete after Easter. Make sure you look out for updates on the school website and google classroom for work that has been set for you to complete.
Make sure you continue to practise your multiplication tables as well as your related division facts. Also continue practising multiplying and dividing numbers by 10, 100 and 1000 using place value charts.
Remember that you can also be reading your books from home as well as reading the news on BBC Newsround and your magazines. You can access Accelerated Reader from home between 9.00 am and 3.00 pm Monday to Friday.
I have also kept busy by eating Jaffa Cakes and drinking lots of tea – I am sure you are not surprised by this at all!
Tonight Miss Atkins will clap once again for all of the key workers and carers in the United Kingdom. They are doing a tremendous job and deserve a lot of praise. This includes all the staff at Rushall School … Go Team Rushall! ❤
Miss Atkins, Miss Hill and Mrs Murcott are all missing you so much and we can not wait to see you all again soon! Have a fabulous Easter and don’t eat too much chocolate.
Take care Year 5, stay safe and we will see you all soon!

Hello Year 5, I hope you are all well and staying safe!
It is very strange to not be in school, I am missing Thursdays and Fridays, as well as finishing our DT project!
I have been in school one day a week so far and I have also been working at home, I have spent time updating the home learning website and also preparing lessons on Ancient Greece for when we return.
If you would like some new schoolwork to keep you busy, you could learn about the Ancient Greeks, ready for our next school topic, I will be adding resources to Google Classroom for you to look at.
This is a link to the BBC Ancient Greece site: https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/z87tn39
You could also use Primary Homework Help: http://www.primaryhomeworkhelp.co.uk/Greece.html
I have set some Kahoot! Quizzes for you to complete, including some French vocabulary ones!
I have also spent time tidying the house and garden, as well as walking the dogs.
Happy Easter, take care and I hope to see you all soon.
